Roadrunner Rocketry Introduces the mailable F45 Single Use Motor

Roadrunner Rocketry Inc. introduces the F45 29mm single use model rocket motor, using the same Roadrunner Rapid propellant as the popular Roadrunner G80 and F60, in a reliable one piece molded casing.

Priced at $14.95 and packaged individually, so flyers are not required to buy two at a time, the F45 is priced about 20% less than competitive single use motors and 10% less than competitive loadable motors, while requiring no assembly or user supplied materials.  As with all Roadrunner motors, the F45 includes a two-wire igniter and a built-in thrust ring.

The F45 has a total impulse of 61 N-S (10 to 20% more than competitive single use motors), peak thrust of 62 N, and a burn time of 1.4 seconds.  Offered with both an 8 second and 5 second delay, the F45 is also available plugged for use in saucers, electronic recovery or in other applications not requiring an ejection charge.  Certified by Tripoli Motor Testing, the F45 is also approved by the California State Fire Marshal for sale and use in the state of California.

Roadrunner has obtained permission from the US Postal Service to ship the F45, which has only 30 grams of propellant, via Parcel Post.  At present, Roadrunner has not extended such authorization to Roadrunner dealers and, as with all motors approved for shipping via the US Postal Service, consumers are not authorized to ship such motors unless they have obtained specific written authorization from the US Postal Service.

Roadrunner has inventories of these motors ready to ship to dealers immediately.  Those without a local Roadrunner dealer should encourage someone from their club to contact Roadrunner and become a dealer today.
